What is In My National Park Backyard?

In My National Park Backyard (IMNPB) is both a book and a lifestyle! Erin S. Thomas is the author of In My National Park Backyard, featuring eight amazing National Parks. This children's book teaches readers of all ages about each park through Erin Elizabeth's adventures. Younger readers discover a scientist they could be in each park. Six of these national parks just happen to be where the real Erin grew up, AKA the "backyard".
The IMNPB lifestyle encourages people of all ages, and from around the world, to explore the state and national park closest to their backyard. This might be in a city or out in the country. Wherever you choose to go, get out there and learn more about it...the history, the people, the culture, the wildlife, the landforms... You never know who you'll meet or the fantastic experience you'll have!
This is also a place for other NPS "brats" to share their stories and connect with others who grew up in the green and gray. Either way, if you have a really cool (and positive) story you'd love to share, let us know!
